Kacey Long, msw

Interim Executive Director 

Kacey Long, MSW, is the Interim Executive Director  at The Athlete Survivors’ Assist (The Assist), bringing over a decade of experience in addressing sexual violence. As a survivor and former athlete, she focuses on systemic, familial, and individual aspects of interpersonal violence and child sexual abuse. Kacey has educated various nonprofits on trauma-responsive best practices and served as an expert witness in cases of sexual violence and child abuse.​

Before joining The Assist in 2022, she oversaw 16 child advocacy centers in Georgia, providing technical assistance on child sexual exploitation responses. She participated in Georgia’s Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force and has been a board member of several Southeastern nonprofits dedicated to ending sexual violence. Kacey earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan
