Who We Are
Our mission
Who does The Athlete Survivors’ Assist help?

The Assist was founded by and for athlete survivors. Their stories, strength, and voices are at the heart of everything we do.
We also work with parents/guardians, coaches, service providers, and sports institutions by offering education, trauma-informed training, and prevention tools to create safer sport environments. Our advocacy helps inform state and federal legislation, as well as organizational changes that protect athletes and hold systems accountable.
We center survivor voices and offer community, resources, and trauma-informed support to help athletes reclaim their power and become leaders for change. Find Support. Get Involved.
We guide sports organizations in building safer systems through policy recommendations, education, and accountability practices to prevent abuse before it starts. Learn more.
We empower parents/guardians with the knowledge and tools to recognize warning signs, advocate for safer environments, know their rights and resources, and protect young athletes from harm. Get Resources.
We assist direct service providers of survivors of sexual violence to understand the nuances of sport and how to better serve athlete survivors in their communities. Explore Resources.
Through our Compassionate Coach® training, we teach coaches how to build trust, recognize trauma, and create a culture of care and safety in sport. Learn More.
