UW-Madison & AMSSM Study on Athlete Safety

The Assist is partnering with UW-Madison and the AMSSM Collaborative Research Network on a trauma-informed study exploring athlete mental health, safety, and abuse prevention. The study is seeking participants.

  • Led by UW–Madison & AMSSM CRN in collaboration with The Assist
  • AMSSM CRN provides research oversight, expertise, and guidance
  • Study open to former elite athletes who have experienced sexual harassment or abuse

Recommendations for Safe Sport Entities

The Assist outlines recommendations for governing bodies, investigative organizations, and other sport entities to improve safety, promote wellness, and prevent abuse in sport.

FIFA Ad-Hoc Athlete Survivor Advisory Group Report

In response to FIFA’s global consultation on sexual abuse in sport, The Assist was contracted to form and lead the Ad-hoc Survivor Advisory Group (ASAG), embedding survivor voices in plans for a trauma-informed International Safe Sport Entity. Their full report details survivor recommendations for creating safe sport entities.
