Kayla Fitzpatrick is a second-year Master of Social Work student at Spring Arbor University with a strong passion for trauma-informed, strengths-based care. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology with an emphasis in criminal justice and has developed a growing interest in mental health, advocacy, and supporting communities. Kayla has experience in counseling settings, where she has supported clients navigating anxiety, life transitions, and personal challenges through empathy and practical coping strategies. She is passionate about creating safe, supportive environments where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered, and she is excited to continue growing her skills while contributing to meaningful, survivor-centered work through her internship.
